Town Hall Meeting: Pivotal For Ndi Anambra In Lagos

By Stella Obi

The Government of Anambra State, under the leadership of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, is set to host a Town Hall Meeting on April 12, 2025, at Harbour Point Marquee, Lagos.

The interactive session aims to present a three-year scorecard of his administration's progress while outlining the road ahead for Ndi Anambra.

For the Anambra community living in Lagos, this event is more than just a report; it is an opportunity to engage, ask critical questions, and explore ways to contribute to the continued development of the State. The invitation extends beyond a mere presentation; it is a call to action for Ndi Anambra to join hands in shaping a prosperous future.

Governor Soludo's administration has prioritized innovation, infrastructure, and economic transformation. As the scorecard is unveiled, participants will get firsthand insights into achievements, challenges, and upcoming projects. Given the influence of the Anambra diaspora in Lagos, their involvement could be instrumental in driving investments and strategic partnerships.

In transforming Anambra State, Prof. Soludo uses an evidence-based approach to support policymaking. He is very intentional in all decisions he makes. Decisions in his administration are not only need-based but geared toward the long-term prosperity of Anambra.

In three years, the Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo-led administration has constructed five new general hospitals in five Local Government Areas that previously had none, in order to strengthen the referral systems from primary healthcare centers in these Local Government Areas.

The decision to construct these hospitals was purely based on the government's needs assessment reports.

Within the years under review, the 8,115 teachers and 1,000 healthcare workers recruited were all posted to communities where there was evident staff shortage. The agenda is to leave no individual or community behind.

The over 762km of roads, seven bridges, and massive erosion works awarded in three years were based on needs assessments of communities.

Governor Soludo's efforts have not gone unnoticed in transforming Anambra. Workers from all 21 Local Government Areas of the State back Soludo for a second term because of his welfare policies.

During the March 2025 Women's Summit in Awka, over 2,000 women from 179 communities in the State endorsed him. These women credited him for his urban renewal and empowerment efforts.

In a bold move to tackle rising insecurity in Anambra State, Governor Chukwuma Soludo unveiled the Anambra Homeland Security Law 2025 and launched a 2,000-strong special security operation code-named "Udo Ga-Achị."

With the launch of the Homeland Security Law, the governor maintains that security, law, and order remain pivotal to attaining his vision of a livable and prosperous homeland. Governor Soludo opines that the massive revolution by his administration in all sectors must be cemented with a robust security system with zero tolerance for criminality.

The Governor has received awards from national newspapers, such as The Sun Newspaper, Daily Independent, and Vanguard Newspaper, for his stellar performance in three years. Different groups have commended Prof. Soludo for his inclusive governance.

Ndi Anambra residents in Lagos are encouraged to attend this town hall meeting to actively participate in shaping the future of Anambra State and contribute to its growth and development. Together, they can bridge gaps, foster collaboration, and build a prosperous and united Anambra State.

By participating in the Town Hall Meeting, the Anambra community in Lagos becomes agents of change, shaping vibrant and thriving communities.

This Town Hall Meeting is not just an event; it is a defining moment for Ndi Anambra living in Lagos to reflect, collaborate, and reaffirm their commitment to the progress of their homeland.
