Stakeholders in Oyi have expressed their profound appreciation to Governor Soludo’s administration for facilitating rapid transformation and infrastructural development across the entire Oyi Local Government Area.

The stakeholders, led by the capable Mayor of the Council, Hon. Emma Nweke (IGA), made these remarks yesterday during a one-day tour of the legacy projects initiated by the Solution Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, in Oyi Local Government Area over the past three years.

These projects include the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Awkuzu-Igabriam-Anaku Road, Nteje-Otuocha Road, and the Nkwo Awkuzu to Abagana Union Bank Road. Additionally, the construction of the Eke-Atah-Ifite Awkuzu-Afor Umunya Road, which features a spur from Ifite Awkuzu at the well-known Waterworks Junction to the Amabor Road leading to the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway near the Nteje Abattoir, has already been completed months ago.

Speaking during the tour, Dr. Nweke expressed his satisfaction with the standard of the completed works as well as the progress of other ongoing projects. He extended his sincere gratitude to the Governor for his efforts in making such significant investments in Oyi and other parts of the state possible within just 36 months.

The Mayor also appreciated Oyi Local Government stakeholders, including the Traditional Ruler of Awkuzu, HRH Igwe Prof. Charles Anikweze, the President Generals of various Town Unions in Oyi, the APGA Chairman of Oyi LGA, members of the Oyi Executive Council, the Congress of Councillors, and others who joined the inspection.

He assured the people that these projects would go a long way in enhancing their living standards and efficiently boosting the economic and developmental progress of every community in the entire Council Area.

Dr. Nweke further called on all citizens and stakeholders in the area to continue supporting the result-oriented Governor in localizing the Solution Agenda in every community. He also prayed for the Governor’s success in building a livable and prosperous smart mega homeland for every Anambra citizen.
