Chisom Weds Christian In A Blissful Union, Celebrating God's Faithfulness

 By Emeka Chiaghanam

Love, joy, and divine faithfulness were beautifully displayed as Chisom Okeke-Ude and Christian Ugwu exchanged marital vows in a solemn wedding ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Uwani, Enugu, Enugu State.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to witness the couple’s union in holy matrimony.

The officiating priest, Rev. Fr. (Prof.) Michael Emeka Onwuama, Resident Priest of Virgo Potens Parish, Awkunanaw, Enugu, delivered a soul-stirring homily on the sanctity of marriage. Drawing from Genesis 2:18, where the Lord declared, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him," he emphasized the divine principle of one man, one wife and urged the couple to uphold the sacred vows made before God and the congregation.

"It was only in the case of humans that God said, 'It is not good for man to be alone; I will give him a suitable helper.' He never made such a declaration for animals or any other beings. That is why He caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep and took a rib from him to create Eve. God intended that every man has only one wife and love her, while the wife must  submit and respect her husband. To this day, His design remains unchanged."

He continued:

"With the sacred vows you exchanged today, may your hearts remain steadfast in love and devotion, looking only to each other in all matters of marriage. I pray that your union flourishes with joy, peace, and divine blessings. May you celebrate 25 years together, extend it to 50, and even beyond, enjoying a lifetime of love and fulfillment."

Rev. Fr. Onwuama urged the couple to build their home on a solid foundation of love, patience, and unwavering commitment. He emphasized that with mutual respect, understanding, and faith in God, their marriage would flourish, bringing them lasting joy, peace, and abundant blessings throughout their journey together.

Expressions of Gratitude from the Couple

The bride, Miss Chisom Okeke-Ude radiated grace and gratitude. She expressed deep appreciation to God for His endless love and blessings, feeling truly honoured and cherished on her special day. Full of joy, she sincerely thanked her parents, Ichie Luke and Lolo Ify Okeke-Ude, for their unwavering love and sacrifices. She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to her in-laws for warmly welcoming her into their family, making her day even more memorable.

Beaming with joy, the groom, Mr. Christian Ugwu, could not contain his happiness. Filled with gratitude, he praised God for His countless blessings and for bringing him and his beloved bride together. He deeply appreciated everyone who contributed to making the day extraordinary, filled with love and warmth. To him, the celebration was perfect not just because of the occasion but because of the love and togetherness shared by all. It was a moment he would forever cherish with a heart full of joy.

A Father's Blessing
