The INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, founded by Primate Elijah Ayodele, was a beehive of activities last Thursday and Friday as eminent personalities witnessed the commissioning of the Church's auditorium and Library.
The
Commissioning of the projects climaxed activities marking Primate Ayodeles
annual thanksgiving which started in January to celebrate God’s goodness in his
life.
The
new Church auditorium with a capacity of about 10,000 started a year ago.
In
his remarks Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, who was
represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon.Ernest Ezeajughi, described youth
empowerment as a veritable tool to curb youth restiveness in Nigeria.
Governor
Soludo informed that his administration was making use of the multifaceted
approach in tackling youth challenges in the region.
He maintained that the “One Youth Two Skills” initiative, aims to equip young individuals with vocational skills that would make them self-reliant adding that thousands of youths across the twenty-one Local Government Areas of Anambra State, have benefitted from the programme.
Governor
Soludo said that the Youth empowerment scheme has not only transformed the
lives of the participants but has also served as a template for youth empowerment
programmes across Nigeria.
He
opined that the significant strides his administration has recorded in the
different sectors, including education, health, technology, and agriculture are
aimed at creating conducive environment for youths to thrive.
The
Governor commended Primate Ayodele for his humanitarian and philanthropic activities
to the less privilege.
In
his speech Osun State Governor Sen. Ademola Adeleke, commended the Prophet
Ayodele for reaching out to the less privilege and widows, noting that the
newly commissioned library would serve as a place for the young to read and
also revive reading culture.
In
his remarks the former President of Liberia, George Weah, described Primate
Ayodele as his spiritual father who has shown beyond reasonable doubt that God
abides in his ministry.
Contributing,
former Edo State Deputy Governor, Phillip Shuaibu praised Primate Ayodele for
showing true love and giving back to the society.
In
his remarks the founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah
Ayodele while thanking those that assisted him with funds in carrying out the
projects,thanked those that graced the occasion.
Highlights
of the commissioning was award of scholarships for university education to
deserving youths, purchase of WAEC and JAMB forms to 25 secondary school
students, empowerment for widows and two vehicles were given out to a
journalist and a church member.
