Nigerian music icon Paul Okoye popularly known as Rudeboy of Psquare fame, has weighed in on the national protest that is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
During a recent appearance on
Naija FM, the on-air personality asked Rudeboy to discuss his opinions on the
impending protests as he was on a media tour promoting his new song, 'Vitamin
D'.
Rudeboy stated that he has
decided to avoid discussing politics in Nigeria or anything related to it until
he changes his mind.
According to him, the last time
he actively engaged in national politics and attempted to effect change,
Nigerians ignored him, and nothing changed, so he chose to keep his mouth shut.
In the 2023 elections, Paul
Okoye and his brother Peter Okoye proclaimed their endorsement of Peter Obi,
the candidate for the Labour Party. They rallied behind the party to effect
change and bring inclusivity to the country.
