Efforts to stimulate community development and localize solutions in Anambra State received a significant boost as Hon. Clem's Aguiyi, the transition committee chairman of Njikoka Local Government Area, spearheaded the commencement of a vital infrastructure project. The initiative marked the inauguration of a 1-kilometre road construction project by Engr Joe Enweluzo in Nawfia, Njikoka Local Government Area.
The Engineer Joe Enweluzo road,
a Private-Public Partnership project, is poised to enhance connectivity,
linking Chief Bath Anigbogu Crescent in Umuriam Village to Mmimi/Umukwa Village
via the High Tension Wires, thereby interconnecting three major villages in
Nawfia Community.
During the ceremony, Amb Clem
Aguiyi, the Transition Chairman of Njikoka Local Government Area, expressed
gratitude to Governor Soludo for his appointment and extended appreciation to
Chief Bath Anigbogu for his patriotic dedication in facilitating and funding
this essential infrastructure development. Aguiyi emphasized the importance of
communal contributions towards unity, peace, and overall progress, outlining
plans to further enhance infrastructure, including a 7km road across Njikoka
LGA by December to alleviate congestion during the festive season.
Highlighting the achievements
of Governor Soludo's administration, Aguiyi underscored significant progress in
security, infrastructure, and human capital development, setting a new
governance standard for positive transformation. He urged project contractors
to uphold quality standards and timely completion.
In addition, Hon. Chinedu Nwoye, Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief Protocol to the Governor, commended Engr Enweluzo for his generosity, reinforcing the importance of private initiatives in bolstering government efforts. He called upon prominent individuals to emulate such gestures, advocating for grassroots support to the administration.
Chief Daniel Okoye, President
General of Nawfija Development Union, expressed profound joy at the project's
commencement, lauding Chief Anigbogu's commitment to community upliftment. He
encouraged others to follow suit, emphasizing the collective responsibility for
community development.
Earlier, Chief Bath Anigbogu's
representative, Chief Obiora Nwankwo, elucidated the noble intentions behind
the project, reflecting on the legacy of his benefactor and the imperative of
addressing infrastructural deficits. He pledged continued support to the state
government's development agenda.
The presence of Governor Soludo
at the inauguration underscored the government's commitment to collaborative
efforts in delivering tangible benefits to communities, ensuring sustainable
development.
The event was graced by the
esteemed presence of the Traditional Ruler of Nawfia community, His Royal
Majesty, Igwe .Dr Daniel Ogochukwu Obelle (Ezeudo Nawfia), symbolizing the
collective commitment to progress and prosperity.
