In a move applauded for its commitment to meritocracy, Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed Mr. Bayo Ojeyinka as a Permanent Secretary in the Anambra state civil service.
The appointment, grounded in
merit, has garnered praise from civil servants within the state who view it as
a well-deserved recognition of Mr. Ojeyinka's competence and dedication.
Mr. Ojeyinka, a native of Osun
state, has been an integral part of the Anambra state public service since
1995, when he successfully completed his National Youth Service Corps scheme
(NYSC) within the state. His outstanding service during the NYSC earned him the
recognition as the best-serving corps member, leading to his retention by the
state government.
Expressing his gratitude on the
occasion of his promotion, Mr. Ojeyinka remarked, "I am thrilled to be
considered for this position. I perceive it not as a mere entitlement, but as a
rare privilege, recognizing the many brilliant officers who equally merit such
promotions.
‘’I extend my sincere thanks to
Governor Charles Soludo for this honour and the people of Anambra for their
unwavering love, kindness, and support throughout my 29 years residing in the
state. In return, I commit to enhancing the state's efficiency, productivity,
transparency, and fairness in my role. I extend my appreciation to my
colleagues and the Head of Service, Her Honour, Barrister Mrs. Theodora
Igwegbe, for her tremendous support. I pledge to meet the high expectations set
before me."
Mr. Ojeyinka's appointment
