The documentary, released on
Monday, featured testimonies from more than 25 eyewitnesses accusing T.B Joshua
of offenses such as sexual assault, physical abuse, fabricated miracles, and
trauma. The revelations have sparked discussions on social media, with netizens
sharing diverse opinions on the allegations.
In response to the
developments, Senator Shehu Sani took to his official social media handle to
express his dismay. Sani lamented that the allegations surfaced when the late
prophet could no longer defend himself. He urged individuals who have
grievances with their religious leaders to address those concerns while the
leaders are still alive.
In his post, Senator Sani
wrote, "If you have any issues against your Pastors or Alfas or Imams,
please confront them with it when they are alive and not when they are gone and
have no right of reply."
The unfolding controversy has
reignited discussions on the importance of addressing concerns with religious
leaders while they are alive, prompting reflection on the challenges associated
with posthumous accusations. The documentary has added a layer of complexity to
the legacy of Prophet TB Joshua, raising questions about the veracity of the
allegations and the timing of their disclosure.
