Dad Cries Out Over Missing Son, Accuses Police Of Sluggish Investigation

Mr. Philip Nnaemeka of Ogidi in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State is appealing to the public for assistance in locating his son, Wilson Ugochukwu Nnaemeka, who went missing one year ago and remains unaccounted for.

Wilson, 29 years old, mysteriously disappeared on November 3, 2022, and has not been seen since. The concerned father reported the incident to the police, who assured him of an investigation to uncover the whereabouts of his missing son.

However, Mr. Nnaemeka expressed dissatisfaction with the perceived sluggishness of the police in resolving the case, stating that no meaningful outcome has been communicated to him.

“Wilson Nnaemeka left the house at 33 Bisi Okaro Street, Nkwelle Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government of Anambra State, on November 3, 2022. Since then, we have not set our eyes on him," he shared.

Despite efforts to publicize the case through radio stations, there has been no significant progress, leaving the family in distress. Mr. Nnaemeka, while not suspecting foul play, is concerned that his son may have fallen into the hands of criminals. He emphasized that Wilson was not prone to trouble and had no disputes with anyone.

“I never expected that my son will get missing like this. Though, I still believe that my son is still alive and will come back one day, my family has not been the same since the ugly incident occurred," he lamented.

Mr. Nnaemeka appealed to the public for assistance in locating his son, providing contact numbers (07033456559, 07039801950, or 09025307664) for information. Responding to the father's concerns, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, described the comments as part of an advocacy effort to raise awareness and engage the public in finding the missing person.

While acknowledging the seriousness of the matter, DSP Ikenga urged anyone with valuable information to contact the police through the Command’s Control Room numbers: 07039194332 or 08039334002. He emphasized the police's commitment to tirelessly investigate and uncover the whereabouts of the missing person despite the challenges mentioned by Mr. Nnaemeka.
