Michael Jackson was an iconic entertainer known as the "King of Pop." He was born on August 29, 1958, and passed away on June 25, 2009. Jackson had a successful career spanning several decades, earning him worldwide fame and recognition.

Jackson's musical journey began at a young age when he joined his family's musical group, The Jackson 5. He eventually embarked on a solo career and released albums that achieved immense commercial success, including "Off the Wall" (1979), "Thriller" (1982), and "Bad" (1987). His music was known for its unique blend of pop, soul, R&B, and funk, and he was renowned for his vocal range and dance moves.

"Thriller," released in 1982, remains the best-selling album of all time, with over 66 million copies sold worldwide. It spawned iconic hits such as "Billie Jean," "Thriller," and "Beat It," which helped establishes Jackson as a global superstar. His music videos, including the 14-minute-long "Thriller" video, revolutionised the medium and set new standards for production value and creativity.

Apart from his music, Jackson was also known for his philanthropic efforts, including supporting various charitable causes and advocating for children's welfare. He donated millions of dollars to charities and used his influence to raise awareness about issues such as child abuse and HIV/AIDS.

However, Jackson's personal life was not without controversy. He faced allegations of child sexual abuse, which he vehemently denied and for which he was acquitted in a high-profile trial in 2005. These allegations had a significant impact on his reputation and career, and he faced financial and legal challenges in the later years of his life.
